Time Frame for Technology Research and Development
Already Done

(2016-2019)

Year I (2020) Year II (2021) Year III (2022)
Problem Bacterial disease attack on fish and shrimp, survival rate and growth is not optimal It is necessary to study the effective way of application (frequency) ·    It is necessary to study the storage and packaging of probiotic products

·     It is necessary to study the efficacy of probiotic application in shrimp

It is necessary to study the effect of packaging and storage (according to the results of year II) on the efficacy of probiotics on red tilapia on a laboratory and field scale, as well as product socialization to the public.
Research for Problem Solving Studying methods of developing biocontrol systems, isolation and characterization of bacteria from fish intestines as probiotic candidates Application of probiotics with a combination of dose and frequency, with observations of growth, immunity, immune gene expression in the gut, fish resistance to infection, FCR and gut microbial metagenomes ·    Test storage and packaging of probiotics with various microencapsulants

·    Periodic evaluation of bacterial survival in various microencapsulants

·    Test the application of probiotics on white shrimp

·  Test the application of packaged probiotic products (according to the results of year II) on red tilapia and shrimp on a laboratory and field scale

·  Socialization of the application of packaged probiotic products (according to the results of year II) to red tilapia and shrimp farmers

Scientific Output Understanding of probiotic development methods Understanding of the best frequency of application to get the best impact on value ·   Understanding of the best storage and packaging of probiotics

·   Understanding of the efficacy of probiotic application on white shrimp

Proof that the packaging and storage of probiotics has a positive effect on the performance of red tilapia cultivation on a laboratory and field scale, as well as the recognition of probiotic products in this study by red tilapia and shrimp farming business actors.
Technological/

Product Output

4 potential probiotic candidates were obtained Obtained the best patented probiotic formula and frequency of application Obtained the best probiotic storage method that can be patented and published

Obtained data on the efficacy of probiotic applications in shrimp

Discovery of probiotic technology packages for red tilapia cultivation, including formulas, packaging and storage methods, application methods to fish and shrimp.
